First Part China Limited which started with tooling manufacturing was set up by Dr. Yang in the year 2005. In about a year’s time, the company got into rapid CNC prototyping and has acquired excellence in the field since it shifted its focus to rapid precision engineering for complex prototyping jobs. In an effort to improve competency the company has combined rapid tooling, rapid prototyping and rapid precision engineering technologies in the rapid manufacturing services as a first of its kind in China.
The Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing technologies have emerged for the purpose of fast 3D product creation. This advanced technology brings about significant change in the present prototyping practices existing in the industry. The potential use of aluminum mould instead of a steel injection mold in certain scenarios is proven to be of advantage. For example, the initial tool cost is lower for aluminum mould than the alternative; aluminum mould’s suitability for low volume is of advantage, possessing a higher rate of heat dissipation makes it the more suitable option to invest in and the ease of modification and repair makes it easy to work with.
However, mould material is subjective to the kind of project requirements and specifications the clients provide and these details are to be fully outlined before moving forward with manufacturing and material choices such as moulding material.
With Rapid Prototyping as their core focus the company has turned great ideas into successful products. The small volume work that the company most commonly takes on consists of injection moulding, pressure die casting since nearly all the small volume works require rapid tooling or post machining. The services provided to the clients include CNC machining, 3D printing, plastic injection moulding, urethane casting, sheet metal and more.
